A Kenyan barrister,Dola Indidis has sued Israel,Italy and Pontius Pilate for killing Jesus Christ about 2,000 years ago.
Barrister Dola who is a lawyer by profession and a Cathoic faithful approached the International Court of Justice in Hague to file a case of abuse of office by Pontius Pilate and the then governor of Judea. Dola is praying I.C.J to nullify the conviction of Christ by Pontius Pilate.
Dola claimed Jesus came to the earth as a human being, said it's all about human rights. He feels Jesus Christ suffered greatly for no wrong doing. He is therefore challenging the modes of questioning used in Jesus' trial over 2,000 years ago. Dola's action has surprised his Kenyan Christian counterparts and indeed the whole world.*****hmmm,I think Dola is right and wrong. Right by telling the world that time can never hinder accountability and wrong because Christ forgave them all, when he prayed God to forgive them because they know not what they were doing then.

APGA CRISIS:Obi And Umeh Reconcile
It's always good to either watch or try settling the matter when two friends or brothers are quarelling, instead of siding either of them. As the political feud between Obi and Umeh lasted, not many believe that they would come together again to reason going by the kind of statements they make on the pages of newspaper.
But the duo surprisingly reconciled yesterday at the government house Awka, even without Maxi Okwu's knowledge. Umeh who spoke at the event described all that happened as the work of the devil. He said he was in the government house Awka to tell the world that the crisis is all over. Umeh said,"undoubtedly many who followed the events in our party will be surprised at this dramatic end and it is to the glory of God that I have reconciled with my brother."
On his part,Obi thanked God and those who worked to see that the reconciliation was a success. He said,"the national chairman said it is over and it's really over". The reconciliation was said to have been made possible by some Catholic and Anglican Bishops in the South-East. Reacting, the factional Chairman of APGA, Maxi Okwu told Vanguard in a phone chat that he is in Enugu and unaware of the reconciliation. Okwu who described the reconciliation as surprising said,"we want a reconciliation that is comprehensive in APGA and all stakeholders should be involved. As a Chairman,I am a stakeholder and should have been involved in the reconciliation. I will consult with those who believe in my leadership and we shall proceed from there." *****Nigerian political drama is a must watch. We are waiting for episode two,Jonathan verses Amaechi. Meanwhile the leadership of Maxi Okwu has dumped governor Obi and rejected his reconciliation with Umeh.

Dead Woman Wakes Up On Operating Table As Organs were About To Be Removed.
A woman in New York State was pronounced dead and about to have her organs removed for transplant when she awoke and opened her eyes.
Colleen Burns had been take to Joseph's hospital centre in Syracuse after taking a drug overdose in 2009. She was thought to have passed away,a victim of "cardiac death" and so her family agreed to turn off the 41 ytear-old's life support machine and donate her organs. When she was wheeled into the operating theatre she opened her eyes in response to the lights that shined on her face.
"They were just kind of shocked themselves,"she said. "It came as a surprise to them all as well." Ms Burns,a mother of three, was discharged from hospital a forthnight after the operation, but she committed suicide less than two years later. "She was so depressed that it really didn't make any sense to her,"her mother said. The family never sued the hospital but was fined $6,000(about N948,000)by the State health department in September, the case only became known after a newspaper made a request through the Freedom of Information Act. Mrs Lisa McGifferent, director of Consumers Union Safer Patient Project said there is no way of knowing how often near-catastrophe like Ms Burns case happen because in the USA,there is no system to collect information from hospitals about medical errors. The State investigating the case in March 2010 in response to an inquiry from The Post-Standard Investigation showed how unreasonable the medical personels that handled Ms Burns case were-(1) The State health department discovered that the overdose had sent her into deep coma, but the hospital personnels said it was an irreversible brain damage without doing enough to evaluate her condition. (2) Before her organs were to be removed,a nurse had performed a reflex test,by scraping a finger at the bottom of her foot. The toes curled forward, which couldn't be an expected reaction of a dead person*****the nurse must be a self-made one,or she must probably be in stupor. Or should I say the devil blind-folded them?*****(3)Outside the operating theatre, her nostrils appeared to show signs of breathing and her lips and tongue moved. Twenty minutes after those observations were made, the nurse gave Burns an injection of sedative Ativan, according to record, while in the doctors' notes, there is no mention of sedative or any indication they were aware of her improving condition. "If you have to sedate them or give them pain medication, they are not brain-dead and you shouldn't be harvesting their organs,"said Dr David Mayer,a surgeon and an associate professor of clinical surgery at New York Medical College. St Joseph hospital submitted a plan to correct problems identified in the investigation to State health department in August 2011. The State fined St Joseph and ordered it to hire a consultant to view the hospital's quality assurance program and implement the consultant's recommendation and to also hire a consulting neurologists to teach staff how to accurately diagnose brain death. Kerri Howell, spokeswoman for the hospital told the newspaper,"St Joseph's goal is to provide the highest quality of care to every patient everytime. These policies were followed in this case, which was complicated in terms of care and diagnosis. We have learned from this experiment and have modified our policies to include the type of unsual circumstance presented in this case."

The Nigerian Labour Congress has warned the Federal Government to resolve the demands of ASUU or they will join the strike in a solidarity move.
The NLC president,Abdulwaheed Omar, issued the warning on Monday during the opening ceremony of the "2013 Rain School" in Uyo.
Omar said," we call on the FG to have meaningful dialogue with ASUU with a view to implementing the agreement. The State Government, should equally obey the law and pay minimum wage to teachers and the government workers as well and the 27.5% teachers enhanced salaries, meaning that should this strike persist, workers of Nigeria will not hesistate to join them in solidarity" Omar stated that the Rain School was designed to train members of affiliate union and State councils of the NLC and equipping them with the necessary skills to meet the challenges of their work.

Nigerian Actress,Genevieve Nnaji Shops In China Ahead Of Wedding.
I initially thought it is one of these "common naija rumours". But findings have shown that Nollywood popular actress,Genevieve Nnaji is likely to get married by the end of this year. Genevieve is presently dating Matthew Mensuah,a Ghananian.
Genevieve has never been a wife before, but she became a mother when she dated an Ondo man who is now living in USA with their daughter.
As the news of her "soon to come" marriage spreads, the Imo-State born actress has remained silent. She might be planning a low-key marriage. Sources close to Genevieve revealed that she travelled with her fiance to China for wedding shopping. I pray that her own marriage will be different from other Nollywood actresses. Goodluck to our Genny!

Virgin Mary Appears to Worshippers @ Edo State.
During the normal Sunday Mass at St Benedict's Catholic Church Ubi-Aja in Esan South Local Government Area of Edo State,an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared on the wall of the Church, making worshippers loose focus in the on-going Mass as they turn their attention to have a view of the "shadow-like" image on the wall. Report says, "get-rich-quick" guys took pictures of the apparition and started getting inquisitive ones who weren't at the scene to pay before they could see. You can see the apparition on the wall pictured above? Could there be any interpretation to be given to it? *****I doubt not,am spiritual edified.

Gov. Obi Advocates 40-40-20 Revenue Sharing Formula.
Less than 9-months to the expiration of his tenure, Anambra State Governor, Mr Peter Obi has called for the review of the current sharing revenue formula in the country. Mr Obi proposed 40-40-20 per cent revenue allocation formula for the Federal,States and Local Governments respectively.
Obi made this suggestion when some members of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation & Fiscal Commission paid him a visit at the governor's lodge,Amawbia.
Mr Obi stated that the present sharing revenue formula of Nigeria did not in any way reflect the economic situation of the day. "The formula that is in use today was put in place during the military era. In a proper federating unit, there are only two units, the Federal and States' governments. The Local government does not exist...In a federating unit anywhere in the world, the key driver of programmes is the State, which is the sub-nation. The nation is there, symbolic for issues of defence, external relations and so on. The format should have been 40-40-20; 40 for Federal,40 for States and 20 for Local govts, with a clause that no state will receive lower than a bench mark". Gov. Obi commended the efforts of the Commission in their bid to review the allocation formula while calling also on them to bear the pecularities of each geo-political zone in mind as they do so. Obi noted that the South East zone has already been disadvantaged due to the only five States in the zone. Mr Nnamdi Ekweogwu ,who led the delegation and who is also the Federal Commissioner of Anambra State said, that the Commission was in the State to begin the sensitization of the masses. He said,"The sensitization is to ginger our people so that adequate contribution shall be made to fashion out an acceptable revenue formula for the nation. Mr Ekweogwu also noted that they had began the process of reviewing the formula which is in use since 1992 and was put in place by military administration. He also said that an attempt was made in 2003 to establish new one but it failed. Ekweogwu said that the Commission has also carried out study tours of countries that operate similar political administrative system. They also advertised in the media and called for memoranda from States and other stakeholders to help review the formula. *****In looking around my environment, and seeing that the impact of the FG and the LG is rarely felt, I think 40 for FG, 50 for States and 10 for LG would make more sense than 40:40:20.

Gov. Obi Set To Dump APGA,Ahead Of Anambra Guber poll.
Indications have emerged that our amiable governor,Peter Obi, is set to dump APGA ahead of Anambra council and guber polls slated for October 5th and November 16th,2013 respectively. This is as a result of Umeh's victory at the Court of Appeal, where Umeh was confirmed the substanstive head of APGA.
A strong member of the Maxi Okwu faction of the party told The Guardian that the Appeal Court's judgement was a political blow to their camp, contrary to expectations that the judgement would go in their favour. Information gathered that Obi and his "disciples" went into a close door meeting which lasted for several hours.
A source privy to the meeting disclosed that it was agreed that the judgement should be challenged at the Supreme Court while they search for alternative platform. The source also revealed that the need to search for another political party was because the Supreme Court has began its annual vacation which will end by mid-September,just few days to the council polls of Oct. 5th. ".....that was the dilemma in the camp," the source said. The source also disclosed that Umeh had on Tuesday sent emissaries to Obi appealing to him to forget all that has happened in the past so that they can all join hands together to work for the success of the party in the council and guber elections slated for the end of this year. But Obi refused the entreaties having made up his mind with his supporters not to work with Umeh for fears of being taken unawares again. On which political party might Obi likely to pitch his tent, the source said that he is consulting and that the party will be made known soon. Guardian investigation reveals that most of his supporters are rooting for Chief Chekwas Okorie's newly registered United Peoples' Party(UPP), as a viable option, considering that other political parties have been hijacked by other governorship aspirants. But when contacted, Okorie said nobody has met him for such negotiation but maintained that he would delightly welcome anybody that comes knocking.[culled from codewitworldnews]*****the last has not been heard,Obi trying to quit APGA,only eight months to quit power....that's so ridiculous. Is like Obi wants to destroy his legacy because of "a head of fish". Man seeking for divorce of 75 year-old marriage, friends, is that not ridiculous??
