An Anambra State High court sitting in Awka yesterday upheld the national convention held on 28th April at Awka that produced Maxi Okwu and others stating that it met both the party's requirements and the electoral acts demand.
Trial Judge, Justice Hope Ozor in his judgement dismissed the suit by Mac Joe Onwundinjo who prayed the court to nullify the election because he was not allowed to contest a position in the election for lack of merit. The court ruled that based on the fact that the convention met every requirement, there is no need for the convention to be nullified by the Appeal Court.
The plaintiff, Onwundinjo was not in court yesterday. Speaking Chief Joe Uzodike a chieftain of APGA and a commissioner in the state and Maxi Okwu commended the ruling,Okwu said with the judgement it means that they have been confirmed by the judiciary as authentic elected officers of the party. When contacted,Chief Victor Umeh described the judgement as a nullity, insisting that the rulings of a High court cannot supersede those of the Appeal Court.........REVIEW:GOV OBI HAS HONESTLY LOST HIS INTEGRITY AND DIGNITY BECAUSE IT IS SO CLEAR THAT OBI IS THE ONE BEHIND ALL THESE.HE DOES NOT WANT TO BE DEFEATED IN A FIGHT THAT HE PERSONALLY INSTIGATED,SO HE IS FIGHTING AT ALL COST TO WIN..,...But he can never bury the truth no matter how he tries.Gov Obi is seriously dancing naked in the market without shame. The judge ,Hope Ozor ruled that the convention met every requirement, the Judge forgot that APGA constitution gave only the Chairman the power to convey a national convention and not a state governor. The Judge forgot also that the ruling of a lower court cannot compete with that of a higher court. So in all entirety, yesterday judgement by Justice Hope Ozor is NULL and VOID as the Judge did so in a state of stupor.
