GOV OBI TO CONDUCT LG ELECTION 5 MONTHS BEFORE LEAVING OFFICE.

After 15 years since the last LG election was held in Anambra State, the State Governor Mr Peter Obi yesterday in Amawbia during the state meeting of APGA said his government has resolved to conduct the Local Government election in October this year and urged his party members to start mobilising grass root support in order win the 21 Local Government Areas in the State He also thanked them for remaining loyal in the midst of the crisis rocking the Party.
Speaking to News Reporters, the State party secretary, Mr Emeka Meze said the State govt decided to conduct the election because all court cases earlier hindering the election has either been resolved by the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Peter Afuba or has elapsed. He said that the State Govt is determined to conduct the most freest and credible election which has never been heard of in the entire sub-Saharan African. He also called on the State Electoral Commission to live up to the expectations of Anambrarians. .......... CAN A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF STAND?, GOV OBI HAS DECIDED TO REPAIR THAT WHICH CAUSE ENEMITY BETWEEN HIM AND VICTOR UMEH. THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT APGA WILL LOOSE MANY L.G.A's AND WARDS.
