Preparations are on top gear for the forth-coming Mr Ugly contest in Zimbabwe. The show is scheduled to take place at Pagomo Heights Leisure Centre in August. This is the fourth time the show is being held in Zimbabwe, with past shows drawing on average of 30 contestants battling it out for the title.
The contest will be held under the theme "A WATCH WORD FOR THE WISE". This year's show promises to be bigger and "uniquely unique" as it draws contestants from across the country. The list of judges is still being finalised. Women are said to have dominated the previous judges panel.
"Entry for the contest is absolutely free and we are looking at men who are very confident about their looks. Basically, the competition is meant for people to have fun and celebrate who they are, just like any other contest in the world,"the organisers said. Bulawayo based Austin Mbewe(30) was crowned the winner after beating eight others in a tightly contested pageant in 2011........<>IS IT NOT GOOD WE TAKE A CUE FROM ZIMBABWE AND MAKE OUR "HANDSOME BROTHERS" FEEL GOOD?
