ASUP SUSPENDS 81-DAY OLD STRIKE.

Smiles are now on the faces of most Polytechnic students as ASUP today suspended its strike.(I said most because some "busines-students" who are still hustling are not happy, other reasons still abound),
ASUP Chairman, Dr Chibuzor Asumogba told newsmen in a phone chat that the decision was made by the NEC of the union as a result of the intervention of the senate and House of Representatives on Education.
According to him,the union gave the govt representatives one month to implement their demands and release the white paper on the visitation panel to the Federal Polytechnics. Dr Asumogba however called all on the lecturers to go back to work," All lecturers are to resume work at their various institutions today".
